How EasyFX works

EasyFX is a Telegram assistant for MetaTrader 5. You send a trade idea to the bot, check the card and approve it. Only then does your trading account place the orders on your own account.

The process in five steps

  • Send a trade idea: forward a message, paste text, send a screenshot or type the idea yourself to the EasyFX bot in Telegram. The idea comes from you – from your own analysis, a scanner or a signal group you follow.
  • Set your risk: in your settings you decide what percentage of your account you want to risk per trade. EasyFX uses your balance and the distance to the stop-loss to calculate the position size and splits it across the partial positions if there are several take-profits.
  • Check and approve the card: the bot shows you what will be opened and the loss EasyFX calculates if every stop-loss is hit. Nothing happens until you approve. If you do not approve, nothing is opened.
  • Order on your account: your trading account places the orders on your MetaTrader 5 account with your broker. Stop-loss and take-profit are attached directly to each order.
  • Manage by button: the buttons in the bot let you move the stop to breakeven, change the stop-loss, or close single take-profits or the whole trade. You can also act directly in MT5 at any time.

Where your trading account runs

For your trading account, EasyFX runs a hosted MetaTrader 5 instance on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Your own computer does not need to run.

Your account and your money stay with your broker. EasyFX is not a broker and can neither deposit nor withdraw money – only your broker can.

Your login details

  • You store your MT5 account number, password and broker server. These details are stored encrypted and used only to run your hosted instance and to place orders according to your instructions.
  • The investor password is not enough, because it only allows read access.
  • We access the interface of your instance only when there is a reason – for setup, fixing faults, maintenance or security. Your positions and account data are visible during that access. Every access is logged.
  • Your MT5 login details are deleted after the contract ends or once your instance has been removed. Details are in the privacy policy (in German).

When something fails

Stop-loss and take-profit are attached to the orders at your broker. They stay there even if Telegram or our hosting is unavailable.

If Telegram is disrupted, you cannot send or approve new trade ideas or use the buttons in the bot. If our hosting is disrupted, the steps your trading account takes care of while running also pause – for example moving the stop to breakeven after a take-profit. With your own MetaTrader app and your login details you can still act yourself.

If your broker is unavailable, no order can be placed or changed. EasyFX has no influence on that.

We cannot promise uninterrupted availability: maintenance, updates and disruptions at Telegram, the hosting provider or the broker can cause interruptions.

Limits you should know

  • Slippage: in fast markets an order can be filled at a worse price than planned.
  • Price gaps: if the price jumps, for example when the market opens, a stop-loss can be filled at a much worse price. The actual loss can then be higher than the one calculated beforehand.
  • Stop to breakeven does not rule out a loss: spread, commission and slippage can still lead to a small loss.
  • EasyFX cannot tell whether a trade idea was sent by mistake. So check the card before you approve.
  • Trade management changes the execution, not the market risk. Trading leveraged products can lead to a total loss.

What EasyFX is not

  • Not a source of signals: EasyFX provides no signals – neither its own nor anyone else's – and does not read other people's channels.
  • No investment advice: we do not recommend instruments, entries or strategies.
  • No asset management: we do not manage money for you. Your account stays with your broker.
  • No trading without approval: every trade idea is only placed after you have approved it.

Frequently asked questions

Can EasyFX withdraw money from my account?

No. EasyFX receives no power of attorney over your account. Deposits and withdrawals only go through your broker.

Does my computer need to be on?

No. Your trading account is hosted. Sending and approving works from your phone via Telegram.
